Servings: 6-8
Ingredients
- 3 racks of baby back ribs
- Spice Mixture:
- tbsp sage
- tbsp cumin
- tbsp garlic powder
- 1 ½ tsp salt
- 1 ½ tsp pepper
- Optional:
- tbsp brown sugar for sweeter
- tbsp cayenne for spicier
- Honey (optional)
- 1 cup BBQ sauce of choice
Directions
- Pre heat oven to 350°.
- Rub both sides of ribs with spice mixture or drizzle honey on the bones side.
- Place bone side up on roasting rack.
- Cook 30 minutes.
- Baste with bbq sauce and cook 15 more minutes.
- Flip.
- Cook 30 minutes.
- Baste with bbq sauce and cook 15 more minutes.
- Finish for 2 minutes under broiler.
- Remove and rest 5-10 minutes.
- Serve with baked beans, corn bread and veggie of choice.
Chef’s Notes
This is the recipe I use when cooking in my city apartment and do not have access to my smoker.
Suggested Pairings
Rhone valley Syrah or a hearty California Cabernet Sauvignon. I personally enjoy the 2019 Guigal Crozes Hermitage and the 2019 Charles Krug Cab.
