Improvised Indoor Smoker

  • Line the bottom of a tall pot with foil.
  • Add in wood chips of choice – stove top size.
  • Top chips with second layer of foil.
  • Place metal steamer insert on top of foil.
  • Place food items to be smoked on top of the steamer insert. Not too crowded.
  • Cover the pot and wrap the lid tightly with foil to prevent smoke from escaping.
  • Heat on high for 5 minutes and then reduce to medium.
  • Smoke ’til desired doneness.
  • Turn off heat and wait 10 minutes.
  • Remove food from pot. If done cooking – enjoy, else finish in oven until required internal temperature is reached.
