Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp buttermilk
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • Pinch of salt

Directions

  • Combine heavy cream and buttermilk in a jar, seal tightly. Rest at room temperature for 12-24 hours.
  • Once mixture is thick and creamy blend in lime juice and salt.

Chef’s Notes

This cream holds up better than sour cream in hot dishes. Great in soups, on tacos, or to balance spicy food.
