- 2 ¼ cups whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup (2 sticks) softened butter
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375° F.
- In medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat together butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and the vanilla extract until creamy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each one.
- Gradually, beat in dry mixture until completely integrated.
- Stir in chocolate chips in sections.
- Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll balls of dough and place equidistant on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 8 minutes on the oven’s middle rack.
Baker’s Note
At 8 minutes the cookies will look slightly underdone, take them out anyway. They continue cooking on the sheet after being removed from the oven and this ensures they stay moist.
